From the hiking parking lot at the (new) cemetery in Bruchweiler-Bärenbach, the route goes to Schuhfelsen, over the Jüngstberg (with viewpoint rock) to the Drachenfelshütte.
Then it goes to the Drachenfels castle ruins, which however (as of 21.3.2021) are closed due to restoration work. The path then continues downhill via trails and later wider paths. Towards the end, it goes briefly uphill again to Geierstein. Afterwards, it descends via the Lourdes-Steig to the hiking parking lot.
