The route continues through incredible stretches of meadows at the foot of the Paganella massif. In the right season, Crocus and Cyclamen blooms can be seen; then entering the forest, characterized by hazelnuts, pines, beeches, birches, hornbeams, and firs, you descend to the Lamar Lakes, which impress with their bright and shining colors.

    Author’s recommendation

Let yourself be enchanted by the soft expanses of Prada and, in the right season, immerse yourself in the blue waters of the lake.

    Roadbook

After leaving the car in the village of Monte Terlago, at the parking lot in loc. Casale, follow the sign for the Lamar Lakes, trail 627 (Strada della Paganella, also known as Via San Vili). The road soon turns into a dirt road and runs longitudinally across the Prada plateau, winding through its vast meadows. After passing the first fork, continuing straight, the road begins to enter the forest. After a few kilometers, following the Lamar Lakes sign again, turn right going downhill, still in the forest, thus reaching Lake Lamar. Walking along the asphalt road, leaving the lake behind, follow the Lamar Lakes sign again (the start of the trail is located between the provincial road on the left and the road leading to the parking lot on the right), the trail skirts the second lake, Lake Santo, remaining always in the forest. At the end of the trail, cross the asphalt road and follow the sign for Lake Terlago. Walking next to a dry stone wall (the trail enters the forest perpendicularly to the provincial road, moving away from it), you enter the forest; shortly after, you reach an intersection of trail traces, which you cross by going straight, then you must turn right, always on the trail. You then reach a fence enclosing a former mini-golf course; proceed right along the fence and soon after you reach SP18. Continuing towards Vallene, turning left once you reach the provincial road, walk along the roadside for 800 meters and, once past the Vallene locality, turn right onto a slightly uphill asphalt road perpendicular to the provincial road. Following this road, which at some point makes a right angle to the left around a house, you pass through the houses of Monte Terlago and, after turning right at the only intersection found along the way, you reach the parking lot where the car was left.
