Within 6 kms, this route takes hikers from Pertouli to the Gorge of Mana and back, offering panoramic views and a unique experience.
The route leaves the town of Pertouli and enters, initially, a rural road of very low traffic overgrown with fir trees. Then it passes through a path that offers unrestricted views to the gorge of Mana, with the possibility of bird watching and herb collection. The route continues on a slight uphill, rural road to Boudoura. From there it follows a downhill path which crosses the forest of Pertouli, passes the remains of the British WWII Headquarters, following the route of Trail 01, and ends at the village square.
Author’s recommendation
Take only memories, leave only footprints. Ants and other insects or animals have not yet discovered how to consume plastic. Take all rubbish back with you.
Don’t start a fire if you feel cold. Try walking faster.
Smoking on the trail will not help in anything. Neither you, nor the risk of fire.
Local people are not a tourist sight! If you want to take a picture, kindly ask. They will certainly smile to you!
If you find a door on the trail, pass freely, and leave it as you found it.
Stay on the trail. There is a reason why for many centuries people chose to walk on them and not elsewhere.

Tips and suggestions
Pertouli is wonderful in every season, as each one highlights a different beautiful aspect.
You can walk all year round, except of the winter months when snow might be obstructing some of the trails. Spring and Fall are considered to be the best seasons to hike, thanks to the pleasant temperature and the colourful nature. Because of the altitude, the wind might be cold. In summer (july, august), during some days it might be a little hot to hike.
