Welcome to the certified hiking route "Panorama Circular Route Wartturm" in Albisheim!
The certified circular hiking route mostly leads over unpaved paths around the Wingertsberg. It offers you a picturesque view of the Zellertal and the highest mountain of the Palatinate, the Donnersberg.
Along the vineyards with their countless grapevines, the path leads high up to the Wartturm. From there, you can enjoy an impressive panorama that opens the view into the Zellertal. On clear days, the sight even extends to the Odenwald. The Wartturm is a round tower whose irregular masonry was built from the limestone of the surrounding area. From here, watch was kept earlier over the safety of the citizens of Albisheim.
For a cozy rest, picnic facilities are available along the path and at the Wartturm. In addition, there are hiking loungers inviting you to relax and fully enjoy the beauty of nature.
The project is supported by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD).

The hike starts at the hiking parking lot and first takes you with a short ascent to the vineyards. Keeping left, you hike towards Marnheim. Here you can enjoy a wonderful view of the opposite Osterberg, the Heyerhof, and the Donnersberg.
The path passes a vineyard hut and offers picnic spots along the way as well as a great view of the Donnersberg, the highest mountain of the Palatinate. Then it goes high up to the Wingertsberg to the Wartturm.
The Wartturm invites you to linger and offers, in good weather, a wonderful view to the Odenwald and the Rhine Plain. Here you will find many picnic facilities and also a dry toilet. Past the Wartturm, the path continues over a gravel service road past the Jewish cemetery. Along orchards, the path finally leads back down into the valley. The hike ends at the starting point, the hiking parking lot.
