Packraft Trail "Bavarian Alps"
Challenging packrafting adventure through the Bavarian Alps. 136 km hiking and 80 km paddling in 8 stages. On whitewater gems, clear lakes, and scenic hiking trails.
Packrafting combines two great sports: hiking and paddling. The "Bavarian Alps" Packraft Trail can be completed in about 12 days in full, or as a micro-adventure in sections. If one or the other paddling section is still too difficult, you can start with easier routes first and return to the more challenging ones later.
The start and end points of the stages are always close to public transport, so you can skip stages anytime.
The Packraft Trail can be hiked and paddled between May and September depending on snow conditions and river levels. The whitewater paddling difficulties on the tour range from grade one to four.
Author’s recommendation
If the river levels are not suitable and paddling is not possible, it is still a good opportunity to hike and scout along the river.

In the last third of the tour, the Hinterautal awaits as one of the hiking highlights. The hike through the Hinterautal leads to the source of the Isar and then down the young Isar through an impressive gorge. The final stage culminates as a hike in the spectacular Partnach Gorge.
