Travel with the bus to Siusi (approx. 25 min) and by cable car up to the biggest height altitude alpine meadow of Europe (1860m). From here we walk over beautiful meadows to the Saltner hut (n. 10 and 5, 1850m). Now we ascent over the tourist path n. 1 to the Sciliar high plateau and to the Schlern hut, 2450m. We recommend a midday rest in the historical house. At good weather we recommend to walk up to the Monte Pez, the highest point, 2580m. The view reaches from the "Rosengarten" and the central and eastern groups of the Dolomites to the glacier mountains. The descent lead you across the high plateau and the Thomes valley to the "Tschafatschsattel", (n. 2, 2020m). Here begins a steep but very beautiful descent through the "Bärenfalle" (bear trap), to the Tschaminhut and finally to the Cyprianerhof, 1175m.
