The ski resort Alpe di Siusi / Val Gardena gives the possibility to admire the impressive panorama of the snow-covered Dolomite mountain peaks (UNESCO World Heritage Site). The famous villages Castelrotto, Siusi, Fiè allo Sciliar and Tires al Catinaccio are perfect for hiking tours to various mountains: Gruppo del Cir, Sella, Sassolungo, Sassopiatto e Sciliar. On the Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm in the Dolomites, you can combine your skiing holiday with all the breathtaking beauty of the countryside. On the wide, sun-kissed slopes of the Alpe di Siusi, skiers who are looking for fun will find everything they could wish for: Beginners can get a feel for skiing, while the more experienced are sure to enjoy the red and black slopes. With 300 days of sun a year, the Dolomites are a popular destination and a promise of never-ending sunshine for all skiing fans. The Alpe di Siusi also has one of the best snow-guarantees in the Dolomites, thanks to both the high altitude and the east-west orientation of the Dolomites. 100% of the slopes can be artificially snowed over, guaranteeing skiing fun from December to April. Speed traps, timekeepers and fun parks make skiing in the Dolomites an out-and-out adventure. Outstanding ski tours including the Giro delle Streghe "Witches’ Trail" and the Gardena-Alpe di Siusi route lead you through a day-long skiing tour of the resort –including views over the Dolomites and all the fun of the mountain cabin.

The Alpe di Siusi Snow Park is also famed among freestylers and boarders: It is officially the best terrain park in Italy, and totalling 1.5km in length, promises an exciting challenge for boarders.

Sellaronda

The Sellaronda is the world-famed ski tour around the Dolomite massif of the Sella. From the Alpe di Siusi it’s extremely easy to get to the Sellaronda: Take the ski bus from Saltria to Monte Pana, strap on your skis and head out directly onto the Sellaronda. Including cable cars leading uphill and down the Sellaronda covers a good 40km, of which 26 are on the slopes. It leads you over four passes and links the four Ladin valleys of Gardena, Alta Badia, Arabba and Fassa. The Sellaronda can also be skied counter-clockwise and is an absolute must for every skier in the of the Alpe di Siusi holiday area.

Alpe di Siusi – Val Gardena Ronda

This unique day-tour on skis leads from the Alpe di Siusi to Gardena and can be skied in both directions. If you’re planning to dedicate your Dolomite holiday to cross-country skiing, the trails on the Alpe di Siusi/ Seiser Alm, in the heart of the Dolomites, are the place to be. 80 kilometres of cross-country tracks at an altitude of between 1,800 and 2,200 metres are on the Alpe di Siusi. All the tracks are double or quadruple and perfectly groomed. Whether you opt for skating or classic style, beginner or pro: The Alpe di Siusi has the right trail for every taste.

In addition, the Alpe di Siusi offers a variety of winter walking trails, snowshoe hiking trails and toboggan slopes. 30 kilometres of prepared winter walking paths lead to the region’s most beautiful vantage points. And what could be more relaxing than a ride in a horse-drawn sleigh: the rhythm of the hooves on the fresh snow and the bells on the bridles of the Haflinger horses ring out like music in the clear air.
