Over the Sonderdorfer Kreuz to the Bolsterlanger Horn
AKU - trekking & outdoor footwear
A scenic route through idyllic mountain landscapes with opportunities for refreshments, wide panoramic views, and a rewarding summit destination.
The start in Bolsterlang initially leads through the picturesque area around the Sonderdorfer Kreuz, where there is a first opportunity to pause and reflect. From there, the path steadily climbs, accompanied by varied natural scenes: open patches of forest alternate with open alpine meadows. Impressive views open up along the way into the Illertal and over to the nearby Allgäu peaks. At the top of the Bolsterlanger Horn, the summit rewards with a wide panorama – from the Grünten over the Nagelfluh chain right into the High Alps.
The route is characterized by a pleasant mix of natural still life, mountain idyll, and easily accessible refreshment options at the mountain station.
