The porphyry structure of the Raschötz is not a spectacular hiking mountain at first glance. When we reach the summit cross, we know why the Raschötz belongs in this guidebook. The panoramic view is unique. The Geisler, Langkofel, and Sellastock are within arm's reach. On clear days, the distant view is impressive. Our view stretches from the main Alpine ridge to the Ortler area.
The descent to Lajen, initially through the boulder terrain and later through the extensive forests, is varied and entertaining.
