At the end of Rákóczi Street, there is plenty of parking space by the roadside.
We started on the P+ trail, but soon turned northeast towards the lookout point. Climbing up among the vineyards, we reached the lookout, where an older and a newer shelter provide resting opportunities. From the lookout, you can overlook the settlements nestled in the valley to the east.
From the lookout, we headed south. After a roadside cross, we briefly followed the P+ trail again, but soon turned east. Here we should have crossed vineyards, but there was no trace left of them. We were glad when the narrow path appeared in the forest.
Upon arriving in the valley, crossing a blooming blackthorn bush strip, we found a wider dirt road again, turning south on it.
The dirt road eventually led out of the forest and continued along the edge of a plowed field. Arriving again at the P+ trail, we followed its path up to the hilltop. Here, however, instead of north, we turned south. At the sign indicating Újhegy, we continued westward on the fairly wide, rocky road. We encountered several vehicles on this road.
Before reaching the wider road leading back to Olaszfa, we descended into the valley on a narrower forest road turning north. There we encountered a small surprise, as around the forest clearance, the work machines left behind a churned-up, muddy path. We barely managed to pass between the sea of mud and the fence on the east side.
Somehow, we made it back to the village.
Although we followed the P+ trail several times, the marks were rarely visible on the trees.
