Roadbook
From Nassfeldpass, just before the border, turn left onto the paved side road. You follow the road straight ahead past the historic Nassfeld church until at about 1,620m, just below the Watschiger Alm, you reach a fork in the path. Here you turn right and hike along the trail, partly through a short wooded section, but mostly along alpine meadows, upwards in an eastward direction until you finally reach the Garnitztörl. From the Törl, hike downwards towards the reservoir pond and pass it on the right - to the Garnitzenalm.
The route leads you from the alm almost flat, straight south to the next mountain pass at the border. Here you continue straight ahead (or take a "detour" to the Kronalm (approx. 45 minutes for the round trip)) and go down to the Ofenalm (Malga For).
From there, you hike along the westward path, which passes below the Garnitzenberg and Auernig, to the Auernigalm. Then continue right past the Lago del Pramollo back to your starting point.
