Mountain villages circular route and Rosmarie's herb garden

Along the paved road leading from the center of Irschen to Leppner Alm, walk past the church uphill to the hamlet of Leppen. Lush green meadows, beautiful flower decorations on the houses, and the view of the Hochstadel in the west accompany the hiker on the ascent. At about 1,100 m above sea level, when entering the forest, you leave the road and turn right onto a cart path (signpost "Mountain Villages Circular Hiking Trail"). This leads through the trench of the Mödritschbach and further up to a nice wayside shrine. Shortly afterwards you reach Rosmarie's mountain herb garden, where the herbs for the well-known Irschen natural products are grown. From here, walk downhill on the asphalt road up to the second hairpin bend. Now choose the signposted path, which soon enters the forest. In a long traverse westward, you finally reach the asphalt road again about 270 meters lower. Follow this downhill and reach the center of Irschen in a few minutes.
