Mountain Meadow Path

Your hike begins at the Pfronten-Röfleuten hiking parking lot (Einfängweg). From here, follow the path that starts on a wide gravel road. The route is also excellent for families with small children or for anyone who wants to enjoy a leisurely walk with a moderate incline in nature.

The path gently ascends with a total elevation gain of 82 meters. While walking, you have the opportunity to experience the beauty of the mountain meadows. Time and again, unique views of the surrounding landscape invite you to linger and take photos.

Along the way, you can also discover rare herbs that grow in Pfronten. This variety of flowers and herbs makes the path especially appealing.

After about 40 minutes of walking, you reach the mountain meadow barn (renovation in 2024/25). Here you can admire historical exhibits that vividly illustrate the management of the Pfronten cultural landscape. The barn not only offers insight into the region's tradition and history but also a great opportunity to learn about the local flora and fauna.

After visiting the exhibitions, you can hike back to the parking lot on the same path to complete the circular route.
