The small exhibition is housed in an old hay barn and provides hikers with free access to insights into the life and work of mountain farmers in earlier times. ++The exhibition is currently undergoing renovation (as of Spring 2024)++
In the old Pfrontener Wiesheustadel, situated right along the Bergwiesenpfad trail, lies the small "Hay Museum" of Pfronten. Here, old photographs and farming tools showcase the arduous work of Pfronten's mountain farmers. The focus is especially on the harvesting of the precious mountain meadow hay and its transportation down to the valley.
The path to the museum, located between Pfronten-Kappel and Pfronten-Weißbach, offers unique panoramic views over the Pfronten Valley. Along the way, information boards provide insights into the agricultural work.
Please note, the path is not cleared during winter.
