The "Moosbachtal Tour"/stroller route is a circular route about 11 km long, suitable for adults and children and passable with a stroller. The route leads around the spa town of Dahn with its many Buntsandstein rock formations and the "Moosbachtal" nature reserve.  The stroller route runs on paved and unpaved service roads as well as hiking trails and paved bike paths.

From the hiking car park in Eybergstraße the stroller Tour/Moosbachtal Tour initially follows the "Pamina bike path" towards the Neudahn castle ruins and the Neudahner Weiher. From there the tour goes through the Moosbachtal nature reserve to the PWV hut "Im Schneiderfeld". A short rest should be planned there. From the hut, the route follows the "Seerosen-Tour" bike path past the animal sanctuary of the animal protection association, past the north side of the Ungeheuerfelsen and back to the starting point at the hiking car park in Eybergstraße (at the sports park). From the hiking car park, there is a magnificent view of the Büttelfelsen rock formation. A visit is worthwhile, but not possible with a stroller.

UFFBASSE! - Campaign for considerate coexistence in nature

Always behave foresightedly, kindly and considerately towards everyone you meet on the way.

Respect nature, do not destroy plants and always stay on the paths.

Remember to take a garbage bag for the way and take waste back home.

Please always keep your dog on a leash. Other visitors and animals will thank you.

For your own safety, observe all path closures, even on weekends.

Park only in designated parking areas. Leave space for rescue routes and agricultural machinery.

Give priority to agricultural and forestry traffic.

    Safety information

Especially in autumn, be aware that fallen leaves on the ground can conceal unevenness, roots, stones, or holes in the path. After thunderstorms or heavy rain, trees may still fall or branches may drop. Especially in adverse weather conditions, natural paths can have muddy and slippery sections. Not all rocks or cliffs are secured with ropes or railings. Surefootedness is required in places. You must expect path impairments of this kind when hiking. If you consider certain sections impassable, you should avoid them. Despite the "fail-safe" markings of the premium hiking trails, we recommend always carrying a suitable hiking map for safety reasons, so that for example in case of a storm or emergency you can quickly find a safe area.

    NOTE:

We strive to announce all closures caused by forestry work or hunting parties on this platform.  Still, there are situations where hiking trails are closed and we may not have been informed. If you encounter closures or detours on site, please follow the instructions for your own safety.

From the hiking car park, turn right following the "Königstour" marking towards the Wieslautertal. Here turn left onto the bike and hiking trail to Dahn, passing the Dahn-Süd train stop and continuing with bike path markings through the Wieslautertal to the Neudahner Weiher. Now turn left following the "Dahner Rundwanderweg" marking, past several lakes, through the Moosbachtal nature reserve to the PWV hut "Im Schneiderfeld" (Palatinate Forest Club, managed).
From there, follow the same marking further to the service road in the Seibertsbachtal. Now turn right following the "Seerosen-Tour" marking through the valley, past the animal sanctuary (animal protection association), the Rothsteig fountain to the north side of the Ungeheuerfelsen. Here turn right, a short stretch unmarked on the service road. Shortly after, you meet the "Dahner Felsenpfad" marking; follow it over a meadow area and along the forest edge to the fork/signpost below the Büttelfelsen.
