Monte Falerio plus loop to the Sanctuary and Monte dell'Avvocata
Little Fish Trek
Fairly long and varied hike, alternating sections immersed in characteristic vegetation with very panoramic stretches offering SPECTACULAR views, not forgetting the architectural glimpses of the two villages Albori and Cetara.
Of course, a half day would be needed just to appreciate the area of the Avvocata Sanctuary, including a visit to the very curious Monks’ Sauna Cave and Brigand Matteo Selese Cave.
Since there was a very strong wind today in the Sanctuary area, we did not enter the internal square, and I inserted some old photos taken with a very old cellphone during a climb from Maiori on April 18, 2017 (where you can see the fog that was completely absent today!).
Those who want to see some "cleaner photos" from the Sanctuary can look at those from the itinerary → From Vietri sul Mare to Amalfi – finale through the Ferriere Valley.
With all the possible panoramas and special views, for photography enthusiasts the dilemma is how to make the most of the two "magic moments" of light shortly after dawn and just before sunset.
Start early or start late to enjoy at least one?
Start early and finish late to enjoy both?
Author’s recommendation
Consider possibly starting from Cetara if you want to use public transport more conveniently and/or shorten the route without losing the main points.
******************************
Those who want to do the Cetara-Falerio-Avvocata triangle, without the spur starting from Albori, can consider the direct ascent to Monte Falerio via the southern ridge, as in the itinerary → Monte Falerio with direct ascent via the southern ridge from Cetara-Torretta.

Premise
This route was traveled on December 29, 2019, and all observations and subsequent considerations fully apply only to that day.
Everything is on paths mapped on the hiking maps of the area, both the CAI Monti Lattari and those from the Amalfi Coast "cart&guide" series.
The entire route is included in OpenStreetMap and derivatives.
Given all this basic documentation, just a bit of attention is enough, and you won't get lost even if it's your first time, as in our case.

From a technical point of view, the trails are mostly easy.
Up to the Monte Falerio Saddle (after passing the Cesare Spring), during certain periods there may be dense weeds that hinder the identification of the trail on the ground.
The section that requires more attention is the climb from the saddle to the summit of Monte Falerio, where there are some steps and rocky slabs that require some caution.
In my opinion, you could even accompany a beginner if WELL SUPERVISED.
The subsequent descent towards Cetara may "suffer" from the same weed problem as the climb to the Monte Falerio Saddle: today there was a section with a short landslide that could be bypassed by climbing 2/3 meters into the shrubs on the slope.
The ascent from Cetara towards Avvocata has a short badly marked section near the Riggiulella Spring, but it is never technically difficult.
From the Sanctuary, continue on the trail towards the Monks’ Sauna Cave and up to the final southeast ridge for Monte dell’Avvocata: beautiful view of Erchie from the arrival point on the ridge.
Then a short descent from the summit, with some minor unevenness, until rejoining the good trail that leads back towards Cappella Vecchia, the Monte Falerio Saddle, and Albori.
To sum up, if you have kilometers and elevation gain in your legs, it is doable by any average hiker.
Public transport
Public-transport-friendly
It is possible to reach Albori also by bus, but the compatibility of the bus schedules with the duration of the hike must be checked.
It is much easier to plan with public transport starting from Cetara.
In any case, see link → https://www.sitasudtrasporti.it/orari.
Directions
Coming from the Salerno direction, follow the signs Raito-Albori, turning uphill from the SS 163 of the Amalfi Coast shortly after the well-known bridge over the Vallone Bonea.Parking
Limited parking possibilities at the small square at the end of the road in Albori, or earlier along the road.Coordinates

There are various editions of this series of maps with different numbers of walks proposed, which are detailed on the back of the page dedicated to the map.
The front of the maps declares the availability of GPS tracks online, but as of the date of this hike, they are not yet available.
From the same publisher, other detailed maps (usually at 1:5,000 scale) are very useful for navigating within the towns of the most famous locations.
