Legind-Højris is a varied natural area, which for good reason is called the pride of the island of Mors. Almost 900 hectares of land are protected for the benefit of nature and nature enthusiasts. The landscape was shaped during the last Ice Age, which ended about 12,000 years ago. The mighty ice cap transformed the landscape into a wonderful mix of steep hills and deep ravines through which small streams meander into the fjord.
Højriis is a privately owned castle that includes larger forest and natural areas forming the southern part of the area. The varied landscape is a wonderful mix of fields, small woods, hedges, and meadows in hilly terrain.
The length can vary between 1.5 and 5 km depending on the chosen route, with the different routes marked with signs.
