Lech loop 9 "Lake longing on the Lechweg: nature experience between water and forest"
The Lech is the starting point and during the hike four lakes are passed.
The "Lech loops" are intended as an extension and enrichment. Like the Lechweg, they all have a great protagonist: the Lech and the wonderful landscape surrounding it.
All these eight half-day and full-day routes have a direct connection to the wild river and the "Lechweg" or both.
Derived from the technical difficulty and the stamina requirements.

The hike starts directly on the east bank of the Lechfall in Füssen and passes the viewing platform above, then crosses over the Max footbridge to the opposite bank. A short climb leads to a forest path, the Ländeweg, which you follow to the right into the Füssen district of Bad Faulenbach. At the Aktiv Hotel Schweiger, the Schwärzerweg branches off to the left. Following this for about 70 m, you turn left opposite the Kurhotel Jakob onto a paved path, then climb a few steps and follow a natural path that becomes somewhat rocky further on. In the forest, you pass the Faulenbach ski jump at a short distance. A sign points the way to the Mittersee. A steep descent, partly with steps, leads down to the lake and a restaurant. Follow the shore of the bathing lake to the left, and after just a few meters, the Obersee joins. Here, too, you steadily follow its southern shore. At the end of the lake, you pass a reed belt, cross the narrow Faulenbach stream, and a few steps further turn left towards the Alatsee. Follow the straight forest path to a power cable route. Here, you cross the Autobahn A7 tunnel unnoticed. After a few steps, you cross the Faulenbach again and then follow signs to the left to the Alatsee. After about 1 km, you reach the very charming lake and its eponymous hotel. A meadow area offers a relaxing rest directly on the lake shore. Follow the north shore of the Alatsee on an easy path to a parking lot. Here you leave the shore path, cross the parking lot, and follow the access road for about 300 m. Then keep left, at the next fork turn right towards the Weißensee and continue along a beautiful path through the coniferous forest gradually downhill. Slowly but surely, you approach the Weißensee until you suddenly stand at its shore near some rocks. Here you turn right on the shore path, a path that impresses by its immediate proximity to the lake; in parts, it even goes over the crystal-clear water and through a rock gate. At the end of the Weißensee, you reach a narrow paved road. To the right is a nearby transformer station where the hike continues left on a broad gravel path. Shortly after, you pass a small wooden house; the path now climbs steeply. After the ascent becomes moderate again, you reach the power line again and turn left onto the Hahnenkopfweg, as indicated by a sign. It's only a few meters to a T-junction where signs for the Allgäu hiking trilogy attract attention. Turning left, the path quickly narrows, and soon you are back on a wonderful trail. For the next 1.4 km, all side trails are ignored. Then you reach a crossroads where a sign points left towards Füssen. The next turn is only about 150 m away. On the way, you pass a shelter, then turn right onto the Unterer Kobelweg. Initially still quite broad, it soon narrows again to a path that winds along the hillside parallel to the outskirts of Füssen. Bad Faulenbach soon comes back into view. Over a bridge and straight through the Baumgarten, you walk toward St. Mang Church but descend a few meters earlier to the right towards the Lech riverbank. Via Faulenbachgässchen, you reach Lechhalde street, cross the Lech, and turn right at the end of the Theresienbrücke. Along Tiroler Straße (federal road 17), it is now about 600 m upstream to the starting point of the hike, the Lechfall.
