Culinary hike with athletic challenge.
From the summit lift mountain station, this route leads to the Neugarten Almsee hut, onward to the Kammer hut, to the Pöllinger hut, and from there to the mountain station of the Kanzelbahn and the Cielo Mountain Lounge Bar.

Roadbook
Starting from the summit lift mountain station, the route begins at the summit house. It immediately continues to the Neugarten Almsee hut (trail no. 177). Right at the start, you cross the Gerlitzen summit road once and follow the path along the piste area, descending towards Neugarten. At the distinctive wooden hut (shelter for cows), the path leaves the piste and leads through the spruce forest and further past the Neugarten storage pond with an attached water adventure world to the Neugarten Almsee hut.
After a culinary break, you start again with a slight ascent toward Stifterboden (trail no. 5). The strenuous part is quickly over, as the descent to the Kammer hut is briskly accomplished.
Without significant elevation changes, the route continues to the Pöllinger hut (trail no. 1762). On the sun-drenched terrace, you can exchange your culinary experiences before continuing via the path (trail no. 176) through the Pöllinger settlement over the forest ridge to the mountain station of the Kanzelbahn and to the Cielo Mountain Lounge Bar.

By car, the Gerlitzen Alpe is best reached via the A10 exit "Villach-Ossiacher See". Then simply follow the signs.
