Tips and suggestions
If you'd like to go on a longer hike through the forests and meadows of Weilemer, you can easily combine the Klingenwald Loop with the Stockhau Loop.
Roadbook
A good starting point for the Klingenwald Loop is the Weiler Hütte or the sports field parking lot. From the “Untere Halde” stop, there’s also a signposted trail leading to the loop, which you’ll then join at the “Hauberg” lookout point. Another trailhead is signposted from the Weißer Stein parking lot.
As the name suggests, the trail leads through a section of the Weilemer municipal forest that is crisscrossed by streams. Nevertheless, the route has no significant inclines and is very pleasant to walk, even on natural trails. Only the particularly idyllic gorge of the Riegenbrunnenbach is crossed via an old sandstone bridge. The section along the Grenzallee is especially impressive, featuring an exceptionally high number of historic boundary stones. The tour also offers a spectacular view of the silhouette of Weil im Schönbuch.
Along the way, scattered benches invite you to rest, or you can stop for refreshments at the Weiler Hütte and the sports complex (clubhouse and kiosk at the adventure golf course).
The tour is also ideal for children. The playgrounds on Jahnstraße and Im Grund are located along the route or in the immediate vicinity.
Another starting point is the Weisser Stein parking lot.
