The 8.8 km circular hiking route takes us through a forest area with paved paths. The circular route is well signposted and offers a beautiful view of the Donnersberg. We have the option to have a small snack at the Schreiber Hut along the way or hike to the Pulpit and plan a picnic there on a beautiful wooden bench with a wooden table. Returning to the starting point at Schillerhain, we can complete our hike with a visit to the Pizzeria Da Toni or the Parkhotel Schillerhain.

- Take care of nature, do not destroy plants, and always stay on the paths. Try to avoid excessive noise and leave the forest before twilight.
- Remember to take a trash bag with you and take your waste back home.
- Please keep your dog on a leash at all times. Other visitors and animals will thank you.
- Observe all trail closures for your own safety, including on weekends.
- Only park in designated parking spaces. Leave room for emergency vehicles and agricultural machinery.
- Give priority to agricultural and forestry traffic.

Especially in autumn, note that fallen leaves on the ground can cover unevenness, roots, stones, or holes in the path. After thunderstorms or rainstorms, trees may still fall or branches may break off. Especially under adverse weather conditions, natural paths may have muddy and slippery sections. Not all rocks or cliffs are secured with ropes or railings. Surefootedness is required in places. You must expect such path impairments when hiking. If you find certain sections impassable, you should bypass them.

We strive to announce all closures due to forestry work or hunting societies on this platform. However, there are situations where hiking trails are closed and we may not have been informed. If you unexpectedly encounter a trail closure or detour, please observe the notices for your own safety.

The start is the parking lot at Schillerhain above Kirchheimbolanden. Opposite the entrance, to the left next to the building at the sports field, there is a board with a hiking map and information about the circular routes.
We follow the path starting from the board, the "Long Clearing", for about 200 m. Here we encounter route 7 and follow its marking to the right. After about 700 m through the section "Headquarters" we reach the parking lot "at Kuhkopf", which marks the beginning of the "Peace Forest". Further along the path, especially on the right side, trees with small plaques can be seen. People were buried here in urns according to their wishes. On the left side of the path, a narrow trail leads to benches and a cross, where funeral services take place.
The path continues to the "Schänzel" at an elevation of 444 meters. Here route 7 turns sharply left and goes down the slope to the first larger cross path, the "Red Path". At an open spot, a path goes up to the left through two slope cuttings. At the top, you are again rewarded with a wide view of the Donnersberg foreland. The place rightly bears the name "Pulpit". We take the short descent back to route 7 and follow it to a path junction where route 7 meets routes 5 and 6 as well as the blue and blue-red trail markings. After about 200 m, a short loop path goes off to the right, inviting you once again to rest and look at the "Retiree's Seat". Then route 7 follows the "Long Clearing" past a shelter back to the starting point at Schillerhain.

Directions
From the north or south, we take the A63 to the Kirchheimbolanden exit. At the end of the exit, we follow the signs to the B 40 (roundabout, Aral gas station) towards the city center. Turn right at the next roundabout. We follow Neumayerstraße for about 800 m and then turn left onto Breitstraße. Then we follow Hauptstraße to the Schillerhain parking lot.Parking
