Illach circular route

We start the route in Steingaden at the hiking parking lot on Kissinger Street and walk along Krankenhausstraße heading northwest. At the crossroads, we take the left path and reach a magnificent viewpoint. The wide view of the Alps will accompany us up to Urspring. After admiring the village church, we continue through the idyllic stream valley and then on a gravel path to the Lech reservoir. The cool water promises a wonderful refreshment on warm days. From there, we take the path north and cross the Illach. At the Illach dam, we turn left again and pass extensive meadows on the way to Jagdberg and Maderbichl. We cross the Illach once more and reach Steingaden again. In Neuhaus, a small meadow path leads us to Krankenhausstraße, where we take the familiar route back to the starting point.
