Along the closed forest road, it goes along the rushing Gschlößbach stream. Past the rock chapel to the picturesque alpine settlement Innergschlöß. At the end of the valley, the east flank of the Vorderer Kesselkopf faces the hiker, behind it the glacier world of the Hohe Tauern already shines. Schwarze Wand and Hoher Zaun rise up, and to the right you can see the summit ridge of the Großvenediger. At the bridge, you have to decide: either take the glacier path along the foothills of the Schlattenkees, or the shorter variant, which winds steeply up the glacier-sculpted slope in switchbacks. Below the closed Old Prager Hut, both paths meet again. The New Prager Hut, built in 1904, was completely renovated in 2013/14. Wilfried Studer runs the high mountain base camp together with his wife Sylvia and daughter Claudia. From the terrace, you look out onto the trio Kristallwand, Hoher Zaun, and Schwarze Wand. Those who want to enhance the panoramic enjoyment can find near the hut the Vordere Kesseltörl and Hinterer Kesselkopf, which can be climbed without paths.
