Hottenbachweg

From the hiking car park, we head towards the open-air museum, after about 200 m we turn right onto a steep path. On the edge of the slope, we reach the "Eimers Tempelchen," a rest area with an impressive view of the spa town of Bad Sobernheim. After about 1.3 km, we come to the "Stern," a distinctive crossroads. From here, we follow the signs south. The path leads through deciduous forest along the "Schanzengraben," which we have overcome after about 150 meters of elevation and about 3.5 km of distance. On the hill, the path runs along the edge of the forest, before leading back into the forest after about 200 m. The detour to the "Kahlen Hahn" is signposted and an absolute must for every hiker. The "Kahlen Hahn" is a rest area with a barbecue possibility and offers the best viewpoint over the Hottenbach valley. Returning to the circular hiking route, we go through a narrow path with old deciduous forests to the "Restaurant Lohmühle," which is unfortunately currently closed. Passing the Lohmühle, impressive steep cliffs such as the "Beilstein" line the hiking trail. With the confluence of the Hottenbach into the Nahe, we reach the Nahe valley. The path leads us along the southern bank of the Nahe back to our starting point.
