Herb village circular hike

The pleasant village round leads from the village centre westward to Stresweg. An old miner's house at the foot of the St. Johann chapel still reminds of the former heyday of gold mining in Irschen. Past the Hotel Landhof Irschen the walk goes up the Bergstraße. At the uppermost hairpin bend above the hotel, the narrow road turns off to Pölland. Here you then walk past the Fundahof and the herb spiral and enjoy nice views of the Drautal valley, the Gailtal Alps, and to the west the Lienz Dolomites. At the intersection, there is a left sign "herb power circle." Follow the narrow path to the viewpoint and energy place, where the power of the herbs is shown in connection with the earth elements. From the herb power circle, you can continue directly - above the elementary school - to the herb and show garden. The jewel of the herb village, the Herb House PfarrStadel, lies directly below the herb garden; a longer stay is worthwhile here, the philosophy and idea of the herb village are shown in the Herb House.
