Passing by the art museum, we reach Steinades Bühl with a magnificent panoramic view. The adjoining forest areas offer plenty of food for the native wildlife. Deer love the abundant hazel and elder bushes as well as the fir and sycamore maple reforestations here. From the pavilion above Moserstein, one can glimpse the Gutach valley from an eagle's perspective.

    Roadbook

Route guidance - location and destination names of the Schwarzwaldverein:

    • Parking lot Dormitte with the location "Gutach-Dorfmitte"
    • Inn Linde
    • Above the church
    • Steinades Loch
    • Schmittsbach
    • Lindenweg
    • Maierecke
    • Moserstein
    • Ramsbachweg
    • Inn Linde
    • Parking lot Dorfmitte with the location "Gutach-Dorfmitte"

We cross the Gutach over the church bridge, past the Hasemann-Liebich art museum towards the Protestant church and, at the "Lindengarten", head directly to the route signs and follow the indication "Above the church". The route now leads to the right. We follow the yellow diamond trail of the Schwarzwaldverein until the signpost "Above the church". Then we hike uphill towards Steinades Bühl, Moserstein, always following the yellow diamond. At the height of Steinades Bühl, we reach the Schwarzwaldverein pavilion, from where you can enjoy a wonderful view of the entire Gutach valley.

An information board shows the course of the premium hiking trail "Gutacher Tälersteig", which runs briefly on the same route here. We follow the yellow diamond first slightly uphill and after a short, steep ascent (approx. 50 m) "Steinades Loch" we go left on an almost level grassy path above the Schmittsbach.

After about 300 m we reach the fork "Schmittsbach", where we do not go left into the valley, but continue uphill to the right, following the yellow diamond.

At the signpost "Lindenweg", altitude 510 m, we switch from the yellow to the blue diamond towards Maierecke (495 m) and further to Moserstein.

At the pavilion there, also built by the Schwarzwaldverein, a break is recommended, also to enjoy the beautiful view of Gutach and the surroundings once again.

From Moserstein, we again follow the yellow diamond towards "Ramsbachweg". After the underpass, we follow the fruit trail to the left to reach the Lindengarten "Inn Linde" again after a short time. From there it is only a few meters to the parking lot.
