Catalonia with a view of the sea. From Portbou, on the border with France, to Ulldecona, in Terres de l'Ebre, the GR 92 stretches along the entire Catalan coast and reveals magnificent coves accessible only via old paths that have now been restored. The GR 92 traces the essence of the Mediterranean in Catalonia.
Along its approximately 500-kilometer main route and almost 150 kilometers of variants, the GR 92 covers the entire Catalan coast, with landscapes ranging from long beaches to cliffs, as well as coves and beautiful fishing villages. From the beginning in Portbou to the end in Ulldecona, the trail passes through natural areas such as the Cap de Creus, Aiguamolls de l'Empordà, Montnegre-Corredor, Collserola, or Garraf Natural Parks. It also passes important architectural and cultural remains.
The GR 92 is part of the European long-distance path E-10.

Roadbook
Starting from Portbou, the path follows the Costa Brava and leads over the Cap de Creus to the Aiguamolls de l’Empordà nature reserve. It then crosses the Montgrí massif and the Gavarres coastal mountain range before reaching Lloret de Mar. Afterwards, it runs through the Montnegre and Corredor massifs towards Santa Coloma de Gramenet, crosses the Besòs river, and traverses the Collserola hill range. In the Garraf region, it returns to the coast and follows it up to Tarragona. At Ampolla, the path leaves the coast again and meets the Ebro at Amposta, before reaching the border with the Valencia region at Ulldecona.
The complete GR 92 route is usually done from north to south in 31 stages.
Information on stages along the Costa Brava can be found here, while the 2nd section (between Lloret de Mar and Calafell on the Costa Daurada) is explained here. The route up to the Olivar Bridge in Ulldecona is covered in 8 stages, via Torredembarra, Tarragona, Cambrils, L'Hospitalet de l'Infant, l'Ametlla de Mar, l'Ampolla and Amposta.
