    Author’s recommendation

For dedicated geocachers, this highest point is quite modest, but in this area, you can also hike several scenic routes and take advantage of a visit to the nearby Ernstbrunn wildlife park.

    Roadbook

The start of this GPS route to the Steinberg was the B40 exactly between the Steinberg and the Oberleiserberg. From the road near the Steinbacher Heide, the path went into the bushes over a field to the southwest, where the summit of the Lower Austria district of Korneuburg is located. The point was only visible on the map, so some orientation was necessary here. Returning and crossing the Steinbacher Heide, the hike went uphill to the Oberleiserberg with lookout, from where you already have a great view of the Weinviertel. Then it was back to the car, making it a longer route in the end.
