The Gotha Sunday walk is a short companion to the Seeberg tour. It is a short, varied route, especially for families, where you can challenge yourself and others on the fitness trail. Kids can let off steam on adventures over hill and dale in the Seeberg forest, on the nature trail or on the playground at the observatory. The Gotha Zoo is always close by and we look forward to your visit.

    Roadbook

The starting point of the approximately 2-kilometre route is the parking lot at Gotha Zoo on Töpfleber Weg. From here, the trail leads in the direction of Kleiner Seeberg into the adjacent forest.

The route first leads to the fitness trail and continues through the forest to the historic observatory. There is a playground in the immediate vicinity, which is a particularly popular stop-off point for families.

The circular route is ideal for a short walk and can be completed in around 45 minutes. The route has only moderate differences in altitude and combines an experience of nature with small exercise stations in the forest.

Please note: The forest paths are partly natural and therefore only suitable for conventional baby carriages to a limited extent.
