A somewhat demanding winter hike in the Günser forest area with a mix of kilometers and meters of elevation on a crunchy powder snow cover with partially icy ground. Following the path is recommended with a GPS device, as there are several forest road forks. This hike is recommended in winter as it bears no objective dangers. Snowshoes and crampons should be taken along depending on conditions.
Author’s recommendation
A recommendable long and somewhat exciting winter hike.

From the fire station in Glashütten near Langeck you ascend to the church and below it in a right curve up the Breitenriegel past an unusual house with rounded shapes. I suspected that this house might belong to a religious community. After a call to the municipality, I was reassured that it is a single-family house with unusual architecture. From there on a forest road to a forest road leading left. Upwards on this to the Tränkboden. Now below the Kleinerer Hirschenstein at a right turn using an old path up to the forest road, which briefly goes left to a hunting stand. At the hunting stand, the clearing is climbed up to the ridge path leading to the Großer Hirschenstein, which is reached after about 1.5 hours. Now following the marking over the Großer Hirschenstein to the road and from there further to the Geschriebenstein. From there back to the road to go down a few hundred meters and then turn left at the first forest road. Along this path across to the ridge of the Steingratzen. This is briefly descended to a forest road to then cross left to the smaller Steingraben and descend it to a crossroads. From here shortly left up to the Staudenriegel, whose ridge is followed, and not right down the forest road. Then down to a ravine above the houses. This leads to the asphalt road on which you return to the starting point.
