Continue through the village of Friedlach to the Mautbrucker pond, where the Teichstüberl has opened its gates for you. After the pond, follow a forest road and then go up a newly built staircase to the Anrainerstraße and shortly afterwards onto the ascending hiking path that leads you directly to the gates of Glanegg Castle. Here you can rest at the artistically designed rest area "MONOLOG".
A visit to Glanegg Castle (open from June 1 to September 30, Thursday to Sunday from 2 pm to 6 pm), the third largest fortification in Carinthia, is recommended. On Thursdays and Fridays, you can stop by Burgwein Lassnig and enjoy a vintner’s snack with a good Carinthian drop.
After the short descent via the castle path, you will reach the federal road B94.
The ÖBB stop Mautbrücken can be reached in 5 minutes after crossing the street.
