Some paths – especially in the Aalbeek lowlands – can possibly be shortened by small shortcuts and bridges.Roadbook
The "Old Town Hall" at Timmendorfer Platz is both your starting and ending point. From here, the beach promenade takes you to the Tea House Pier and the Café Wolkenlos. Here you have a great view of the Bay of Lübeck. Along the promenade, the path leads you further to Niendorf, along the harbor, all the way to the Niendorf Bird Park. Here you enter the nature reserve around Hemmelsdorfer Lake. The Hermann Löns Viewpoint is an absolute must! Climb the observation tower and enjoy the view of the lake. Further through the nature reserve, this section ends at the fishery farm in Hemmelsdorf. Here is time and the perfect place for a break.
Freshly energized, head off to the last part of the route - past a farm and through Klein Timmendorf you return to the center of Timmendorfer Strand, where you can end your hike in one of the many cafés, restaurants - or simply on the wide sandy beach.
