Ferrata HZS

You can start at the last bus stop in the Martin – Stráne area. At the beginning, the creek is crossed only by wooden footbridges and a beautiful scenery including remains of mining carts and rails. The first technical aids, traverses on rock walls, and iron steps begin at an altitude of 930 m a.s.l. In 2017, a new section with a metal swinging bridge was added here, increasing the adrenaline experience. At an altitude of 1,130 m a.s.l., the ferrata branches into two routes with different difficulty levels (B and C), which meet again at the top. The forest path continues towards the ridge of the Martinské hole and the tourist cottages. From there, you can continue further along the ridge or return to Martin via a hiking trail through Hodinovka. Either on foot or with another dose of adrenaline on down-hill scooters. Both lead back to the place where this route started.
