Fellhorn

Route: moderately difficult hike Starting point Hindenburghütte It is recommended to take the minibus up to the Hindenburghütte. From there, ascend in the direction of Straubinger Haus/Fellhorn, route 15 over the Hemmersuppenalm past the Anna Chapel. The same route as the premium Almgenuss path until it turns off at the Schuhmacherkreuz. Then continue straight on route no. 151 to the Straubinger Haus on the Eggenalm. From here, a narrow trail (route no. 27) leads to the Fellhorn summit (1765 m). Descend the same way back to the Straubinger Haus and then follow route no. 153 back to the Hindenburghütte. Special features: View of the Hohe Tauern, Kaiser Mountains, Loferer Steinberge, Berchtesgadener Alps, Chiemgau Mountains. Beautiful alpine flora in spring, gentian bloom (May-June), alpine rose bloom. Places to eat: Hindenburghütte, Sulzner Kaser, Straubinger Haus.  .
