Extratour Lochbach Path

For example, we can start in Wallenstein and hike directly into the Lochbach Gorge from there. From Hülsa, we walk through dry meadows and enjoy the panorama with Knüll and Knüllköpfchen and the Eisenberg. It continues to the Ferdinand Kersting Hut and then along the forest to the Kanowski Hut. Over the Ebigköpfchen, we return to the starting point.
In terms of length and difficulty, this Hessen Extratour is a half-day hike. The highlight is the small ravine of the Lochbach, which babbles past moss-covered stones and ferns. Numerous wooden bridges lead the hiker very close along or over the Lochbach. The first part of the section from Wallenstein to the Kanowski Hut leads on grassy paths through spruce forest. Towards the Kanowski Hut, beeches increase, which are partly overgrown with tall grass. Another contrast is the open meadow area north of Hülsa, which offers wide views.
