Circular route with beautiful views of Eußerthal and its meadows and forests
At the Eußerthal bus stop, community center or at the parking lot at the community center, turn right onto the main street. After about 100 meters, the route turns right into Ziegelbergstraße.
Follow Ziegelbergstraße uphill. Circular route number 4 runs above the edge of the town and offers a beautiful view of the town and the Cistercian church. After the cemetery on the right side, at a crossroad, take the left path.
After leaving the town, you reach the sheepfold after about 1.5 km.
At the sheepfold, turn right and then immediately left onto the bike path. After about 400 meters, the route turns diagonally right uphill directly after the barbecue hut.
The path now goes slightly uphill. After a hunting stand and a nice view, you reach the forest. In the forest, the path first goes slightly uphill and then descends for a longer stretch around the Rüthenbachtal.
The route then joins the bike path again, which you follow to the left towards Eußerthal. Passing the sheepfold, the path leads into the town and there over Talstraße, Schulstraße, and Kirchstraße directly to the Cistercian church.
After 6.6 km, you reach the starting point of the route again at the community center.
UFFBASSE! - Campaign for respectful coexistence in nature
- Always behave considerately, friendly, and with foresight towards everyone you meet on the way.
- Respect nature, do not destroy plants, and always stay on the paths. Try to avoid excessive noise and leave the forest before dusk.
- Remember to take a trash bag for the walk and take your rubbish back home.
- Please keep your dog on a leash at all times. Other visitors and animals will thank you.
- Observe all path closures for your own safety, also on weekends.
- Only park in designated parking spaces. Leave room for emergency vehicles and agricultural machinery.
- Give priority to agricultural and forestry traffic.

Safety information
General information:
Especially in autumn, be aware that fallen leaves on the ground can conceal uneven surfaces, roots, stones, or holes in the path. After thunderstorms or heavy rain, trees may fall or branches may break even afterwards. Especially in bad weather conditions, natural paths can have muddy and slippery sections. Not all rocks or cliffs are secured with ropes or railings. Sure-footedness is required in some places. You must expect impairments of this kind when going for a hike. If you think certain sections are impassable for you, you should bypass them.
NOTE:
We strive to announce all closures caused by forestry work or hunting parties on this platform. Nevertheless, there are situations where hiking trails are closed and we may not have been informed. If you unexpectedly encounter a path closure or detour, please follow the instructions for your own safety.

Equipment
For our hiking tours, we recommend the following equipment as standard:
- Sturdy footwear
- Weather-appropriate clothing
- Sun and rain protection
- Sufficient supply of food and drinks, as not all places to eat or shop are available or open everywhere.
- Although the paths are very well marked throughout, for safety reasons it is always advisable to carry a suitable hiking map so that, for example, in case of a thunderstorm or emergency you can quickly find a safe area.
