Essences and knowledge

The itinerary "Essences and Knowledge" consists of Stage 1 and three variants, involving the municipalities of Calosso, Moasca, and Agliano Terme (AT). Stage 1 starts from the locality Piana del Salto, in the territory of Calosso. It proceeds northeast to Cascina Perrone. Here, turn left, heading northwest, crossing Variant 01B of the itinerary and then Variant 01A, finally arriving near Bric Chiccarella. Before the summit of the hill, turn right, heading north, climbing along the ridge, then traversing halfway along Bric Gesbido to reach the locality Mola. From here, continue further halfway up the lower part of Bric Moncucco. The path then turns southeast near the Ferrero farmhouse. Take a left here following the road, then continue climbing the slope of the hill where Moasca is located, finally ending the itinerary at the front of the ancient castle. Variant 1A departs from the main itinerary toward the Alfieri farmhouse, continuing to Piana del Salto, reaching the stage point. Variant 1B departs from the main route toward the Busticardo farmhouse and further ahead to the Tre Termini farmhouse, concluding by rejoining the main route. Variant 1C begins in the locality of Salere and ends at the summit point of Agliano.
