Author’s recommendation
For most of the route, you can enjoy a varied, very beautiful panorama. Before the descent begins, a staircase leads to the Madonna dell'Accoglienza, which stands on a splendid terrace above the lake. A short stop is highly recommended.

The route is also easy to walk with children.
The initial path and the path branching off from the bend of Via Panoramica are shortcuts. If they are too steep for you, you can simply stay on Via Panoramica. The route will then be slightly longer, but the ascents and descents are very gentle.

The route is a circular path described from the old town but can be started from any point and also walked in the opposite direction.
From the old town, starting at Via Navene Vecchia, you first head uphill, initially on a short stretch of asphalt, which then transitions to the Vacco hiking trail, where you always keep right to reach Via Panoramica. That was the most strenuous part of the route.
Now you walk a bit along Via Panoramica heading south and before the steep ascent, turn right onto the paved road towards Località Paier.
Leave the paved road and follow a short path that ascends to the left towards La Rocchetta. At the end of the path, you will find a staircase on the right side with a sign to the path to Madonna dell'Accoglienza.
Then continue downhill, and at the third bend take the small street to the left, which brings you back to Via Panoramica.
Continuing downhill, at the next bend turn left towards Dos del Pis. From now on, it goes gently uphill and downhill until you reach the Lake Garda shore in the bay Val di Sogno. In summer, it is worth bringing swimwear!
To return to the old town, walk back about 2 km along the lakeside promenade heading north.
