The route passes through the Palava protected landscape. Getting there wasn't hard since there is good public transport. The route is relatively easy without any huge increase of elevation although there are certain points were you need your stamina.  Other than the vineyards, that you see throughout the journey, you also get to witness some incredible panoramic scenic views and some ruins. It wasn't difficult to find your way while on the hike due to the well marked trails. The route passes through the red trail but you have options to also follow the yellow trail for a different experience. The duration of the hike is approximatly 2.30-3 hours, depending on the stops you take. Due to the fact that a big part of the hike is in the fields and not in a forest under some shade, it is a good idea to have a hat with you and of course sunscreen. Also, for most of the time you are not in a village and there is no place to get water or food, so it is a good idea to come fully prepared!
