The "Devil's Kitchen" is an impressive collection of huge boulders piled wildly next to and on top of each other in the eastern Günztal. They are relics of the Mindel Ice Age, when the scree and rock on the edges of the glacier were compressed into the so-called "lord's concrete." With the melt, large rock blocks then broke off from the steep slopes.
The surrounding Günztal forests are a protected area due to their biodiversity. All tree species of the Alpine foothills can be found here: beech, ash, mountain maple, mountain elm, spruce, silver fir, pine, and yew. On the way back from Ronsberg, the path passes the former Liebenthan castle and the Liebenthann mill.
The starting point is the hiking car park directly on the road between Ronsberg and Obergünzburg with the unmistakable mill wheel.
