Die Günz ist einer der wenigen Flussläufe im Allgäu, in deren Verlauf kaum eingegriffen wurde. Im Günztal zwischen Obergünzburg und Ronsberg kann man die selten gewordenen Mäander eines Flusslaufes bewundern.
