Monte Baone with its famous rocks "Le Placche di Baone" is located in Arco. With its limestone band between the olive tree-covered slopes, it is particularly characteristic of the northern Trentino area of Lake Garda.
The circular route is easy to walk, family-friendly, and rich in beautiful views. The view extends over the entire Garda Trentino basin, nicknamed "La Busa." It ranges from Monte Rocchetta to Monte Baldo and passes by the lake that sparkles in the sun.
Among the easier hikes in the area, the Coste di Baone route is less known and ideal if you have little time and want to stretch your legs without much effort.

The route begins at the "al Calvario" parking lot where the road from Arco starts up to Laghel. Leave the parking lot behind and take the path marked "Anello Coste del Baone" behind the small chapel.
The path leads along the slope through olive groves and offers beautiful views over the Garda-Trentino basin, Lake Garda, Monte Stivo, and the castle of Arco.
At the foot of the "Placche di Baone," you ascend a steeper zigzag path up to the summit of the rock ridge.
Shortly after, the descent to Arco begins on steep trails through olive groves until a flat stretch leading to the foot of the climbing rocks.
After the rocks, follow the signs "Arco - Anello Coste del Baone" to an open area with two benches, where you go downhill to the right and take the first left turn (the sign does not clearly indicate a left curve here), first reaching Via Lomego and then Via del Calvario, which climbs back to the parking lot where the route started.
The path is winding but always well signposted: besides the usual signs, there are also posts in the classic red-white color and signs on the rocks.
