Follow the "Yard", the spectacular old English aqueduct, from Kanoni to the 15-arch stone bridge.
The route of the "Yard" starts in Kanoni and follows the course of the modern aqueduct of Corfu, above the pipeline that carries the water supply to the city. Leaving the "Panagia ton Vlachernon" chapel and the famous Pontikonisi islet on the left and the airport and the lagoon of Halikiopoulo on the right, the route finds the Rotonda and the Vaska, two monumental remains of the old aqueduct, built around 1830 by the English. The continuation of the route through the narrow alleys of the area offers a beautiful view towards Perama and meets interesting parts of the old aqueduct and an exit to the main road where there is a bus stop. The end of the route is in front of the imposing bridge of the aqueduct, consisting of 15 arches and built in 1840 in a place with heavy vegetation. The return should be made via the same route.
