Roadbook
From Coswig train station, cross the nearby railway crossing, turn sharply right into Hohen Mühle, turn shortly right at the end of the street and continue walking parallel to the railway line through the forested Teufelei towards Griebo. The route in Griebo follows the gardens up to the edge of the forest. To the right, a field path leads toward Apollensberg, whose ecumenical cross is already visible from afar. To reach it, you have to walk briskly because you face a steep ascent (127 m). This is rewarded by a fantastic view over the landscape and the Elbe riverbed from Apollensberg. Before continuing your hike, you should walk along the Apollensberg nature trail. On the east side, the descent is easier on the forest road. At the junction keep left and follow the path through the woods. Following the Luther path, after crossing the Griebo stream, you reach the Luther stone on the road between Coswig and Möllensdorf. From here it is only about 400 m to the grounds of Hubertusberg. On the 142 m high Hubertusberg stands the Bismarck tower built in 1902, which has a viewing platform 11 m above providing a grand view of the Fläming. The restaurant “Hubertusberg” is open on weekends. On the grounds you can learn about endangered goat and sheep breeds. Behind the facility begins the Bismarck path, leading you back towards Coswig. This path through the nature reserve Pfaffenheide - Wörpener Bach is very popular. The trail has been partially transformed into a nature trail, enriching the joy of hiking with interesting details about animals and plants. Following the path you reach Möllensdorfer Landstraße and follow it to the town entrance of Coswig. From there, you go straight back to the railway crossing near the train station or continue straight to the Coswig marketplace.
