On this circular hike, you reach the popular Hündeleskopfhütte from Pfronten-Kappel via forest and meadow paths. On the way back to the Höllschlucht climbing garden, you travel on forest roads.
You start the hike in Pfronten-Kappel. After a short walk through the village, you turn onto the Kappeler Höhenweg. Those interested can take a short visit to a freely accessible "Hay Museum" (a permanent exhibition of old agricultural equipment). Afterwards, you continue the hike on a forest trail. The path through the forest is partly steep and leads uphill over root-covered paths. At the end of the forest trail, it is not far to the popular Hündeleskopfhütte. After a stop at the hut, you return to the valley on well-developed paths (partly asphalted). Once back in the valley, the return route leads through the Höllschlucht forest climbing garden back to the starting point of the route.
