A beautiful circular hike through the pre-alpine moor landscape for any season. In the summer months, show peat cutting takes place here.
Follow the signs for circular hiking route No. 20
In spring, hundreds of spring snowflakes bloom along the stream and catchflies stand in the hay meadows. In summer, orchids and many other wildflowers bloom. Autumn fascinates with lungwort, swallowwort, and marsh gentian. In winter, part of the trail is groomed as a cross-country ski trail. A special experience is hiking the Haselbachweg with snowshoes in shining snow and sunshine.

Roadbook
From the parking lot, take the first steps back towards the town before turning right after about 200 m towards the Haselbachweg. After a few meters, you have a wonderful view over the raised bog landscape to the town of Schönberg. After about 1 km you will see a sign "Meeting point show peat cutting". From June to mid-September, a couple from Bad Bayersoien shows you how laborious peat extraction was in earlier times.

However, you continue to follow the signs "Haselbachweg" and now hike along a comfortable meadow path always along the meandering Ach. After crossing a concrete bridge, you now cross the raised bog with its typical vegetation. Many different mosses, heather, and pines line the path. The rare and therefore strictly protected sundew, an insectivorous plant, still occurs in isolated places. After leaving the raised bog, turn left at the next junction and after a short climb reach the paved road. Here you turn left and are rewarded with impressive views towards Hörnle and the Ester Mountains for your efforts. After reaching the Kirmesauer Straße, it's only a few steps back to the starting point.
