Start from the small parking lot next to Road 171 marked 'Bor Hamat'. Follow the green trail markers and climb the light dirt embankment surrounding the impressive water pit. This pit belongs to the group of "Israeli" pits from about 3000 years ago. The pits are dug into soft ground/rock and lined with stones. There is no plaster in the pit; it holds water due to the clay soil into which it is dug. Two channels led runoff water from the slopes to three sedimentation pools. From them, water flowed through a series of steps that prevented falls and digging into the bottom. The steps for people to descend are on the other side of the pit.
From here, ascend on the green trail that climbs the hill from the south, parallel to the road. After finishing the climb, walk on a wide, flat plain. The trail leads to the opening of a shallow wadi between hills generally heading east. The path ascends gently, then turns sharply right and descends into a stream channel. Here, meet the blue trail markers and go left on them. Walk about 600 meters uphill inside the wadi until reaching an impressive viewpoint on the Ramon Crater cliff. The Ramon Crater is the largest crater, and from here you can see the colorful and ancient sandstone exposed at its bottom. Return with the blue markers to the intersection with the green trail from which you came, and continue down the stream following the blue trail. Along nearly 1.5 kilometers, you encounter desert vegetation characteristic of the High Negev Mountain - kazuakh, broom, and Atlantic willow, and in blooming seasons also daisies and anemones. The blue trail turns sharply right, climbs the stream bank, and returns us to the parking lot.
