- The start and end point of the circular route is Litzldorf, where you initially leave St. Michael’s Church on your right and follow Sulzbachstraße past it.
- This leads you up to a huge linden tree, offering your first of many stunning views over the Rosenheim basin and the moorland. Shortly afterwards, you reach the hamlet Ober-Ulpoint, the birthplace of the master builder brothers Georg and Wolfgang Dientzenhofer, who together with their brothers created a number of significant church buildings between the Main and Moldau rivers.
- The path then takes you back to a stream, where on the other side of the brook you will soon see two impressive towers. These are the chimneys of former cement plant lime kilns, an industrial monument from the 19th century destroyed by fire. The instructive information boards around the remains of this structure make a visit worthwhile. If you have had your fill of this unique industrial monument, continue walking upstream until you are stopped by a mighty waterfall.
- A narrow path on the other side of the stream leads you up to a sulfur spring, said to have healing powers. The trail then leads back to the lime kilns, where you follow a narrow path on the left side of the stream that brings you to the farm of the Schüttwein farmer.
- Turning left, you reach the well-marked Wilhelm-Leibl-Weg, which guides you through light forest with gentle ups and downs towards Kutterling. The historic farms from the 18th century are all under monument protection. Via Farrenpointstraße you reach Derndorf, where the huge Leibl-linden invites you to take a short break. Those who wish can return to the starting point along the main street from here.
- It is, however, nicer to take the detour over meadows and pastures north of the main road, which you meet in the center of Derndorf. Right opposite, you come across Einfangweg, which you leave again by turning right at the next junction. You will be rewarded with a wonderful view of the Inntal mountains. Following the stream trench, you reach Moostraße, where you keep right again to return to Litzldorf. The church marks the last destination of the hike.
