Nature is full of secrets and full of life. The best stories are told by the small creatures of nature, such as bees. The bee trail leads the hiker along a small and varied path to the secrets of the bee colonies. Ambrosius, the patron saint of beekeepers, represents the first of the experience stations. The bee hut and the lively anthill especially delight the hearts of little nature explorers. Nature is life, and that is exactly what you feel on the bee trail.

    Roadbook

You leave the main square in Steinfeld (municipal office) via the narrow alley that leads north between the houses. After a few meters, take the second alley on the left (Kirchweg) to reach the hiking info point by the Steinfeld church, which serves as the starting point for the bee trail. In a few steps (heading west), you reach the edge of the village – an information board welcomes hikers here on the bee trail. A small path first leads the hiker to Ambrosius, the patron saint of beekeepers. Now, a few altitude meters uphill to the bee hut. Via a natural stairway, you climb a bit higher, then immediately descend again – passing by the anthill. The short circuit soon closes again, and you return on the already known path back to the village to the Steinfeld church.
