Bartenberg circular route

Starting from the center of Ensingen, follow Stiegelgasse and turn left into Ritterstraße. Before the Brünnelesbach wooden footbridge, the path leads right; we follow the Brünnelesbach first on the right, then after the street »Herrenwiesen« on the left side, passing Ensinger See (right) with a playground and going under the old railway line until we reach Bachstraße in Kleinglattbach. Here we turn sharply left (Bachstraße) to Weinbergweg, which ascends left over the old railway line to Bartenbergstraße.

Turning right, we reach the Bartenberg hiking parking lot with an information board – here we turn left to the playground. From there, continue straight past a plant nursery, then left again through a mixed forest, and after about 2 km we reach the Eselsburg parking lot with an information board on the Ensingen-Horrheim state road. From here, turn left to return to the start via the »return path«.
